Musicians Teach Music is a non-profit online music school that provides free virtual classes taught by professional musicians, making music education accessible to students of all ages and from all walks of life.
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Luminous Skincare Studio is a facial spa based in Westbrook, ME.
MY SOLUTION
COLORS: I guided Carmen in choosing a combination of colors that would evoke a sense of comfort and relaxation. The contrast of teals and gold, balanced out by white accents, makes this brand feel clean and warm.
FONTS: Carmen wanted this brand to feel elevated and modern. I suggested "Ferly" as an accent font to bring a decorative element to her brand. "Kiona" felt like the perfect font for subheadings and descriptions, it's bold but still gentle and approachable. I chose "futura" as the main paragraph text to bring a modern and simple touch to balance out the organic nature of the other two fonts.
MESSAGE: After giving Carmen a survey on who her target audience/ideal client is, I crafted a brand story for us to follow as we made design decisions. This brand is meant to feel attractive to women ages 18-65 who are either looking to prevent signs of aging or continue to improve and maintain skin in order to age gracefully with confidence.

In the design of the website, I combined all of the brand elements to showcase Carmen's services, products, and aesthetic in a way that welcomes her customers and makes them feel taken care of before they even step foot into her studio.
SOCIAL MEDIA:
In order to showcase Carmen's knowledge about skincare and establish her as an authority figure to her audience, I crafted two informational posts. I included a fun graphic post to appeal to the younger demographics within Carmen's audience as well.
Carmen Novicki, owner of Luminous Skincare Studio had a dream to build her own studio space for clients to enjoy personalized clinical facials, but had no experience with branding or web design. She came to me in need of a brand identity, website, and social media presence.
